EOC WEEK 6: MeX3

Baby G shocks are one of the things that define me. The reason is that I always wear one! I had this brand of watches since I was a little girl and they just never get old! The picture I just posted is one of the designs of the G shocks I have. They come in colorful designs and always goes with every outfit I wear whether its classy, sporty or in between. They are never late and easy to set up. Since timing was something that was always important to me, My G always helps me to be right on time.

Ray bans. Although they are not the cheapest brand for glasses they are always reliable, always stylish and goes with everything!

I take my ray bans with me everywhere. I have light eyes and it’s important to wear sunglasses in order to prevent blindness in an early age. Those glasses go everywhere with everything and I know that no matter what they are going to do their job successfully.

My I phone 4s. Siri is my best friend. For setting up a work schedule, alarm clock, sending texts when I’m being too lazy to type to some random searches on the internet, I go with it everywhere and it never goes out of site. It keeps me organized and in touch with people all over the world. Another reason is they are making super cool cases for them and I like to change them all the time by the way I feel and this phone has everything I’m looking for in a phone and more.

Week 5 EOC: Social Networks and Job Hunting

I find that the article that say that Job Recruiters Turn to Facebook to Find Candidates is eye opening for every person who try to get a job but don’t want his job to be involved in his personal life and like to separate them. “Others note that while LinkedIn contains a more comprehensive résumé database, candidates tend to value referrals from their connections on Facebook more.” The fact that people try to find and compare themselves through facebook closes opportunities to people that decide not to have facebook or other social network page. “In focusgroups, prospective job candidates were sharply averse to being contacted through Facebook for jobs.” This shows that many people like to be contact by that but other found it very intruding to their personal life. “"The antibodies kicked in pretty quickly. They thought it was very invasive."

I believe that the fact that a company opens a facebook page in order to recruit people and help itself to develop and open more opportunities and publish job opportunities is a good idea and can help the people that are looking for a job and the company that is looking for new people. For the people who think that this is intruding they can always block their facebook to an open view and ask to be contacted in another form.

Week 4 EOC: There's an app for that

The ultimate keys finder.

Didn’t you wish you had an app that will help you find your car keys or your house keys? Don’t you wish that you never had to be late for an important meeting because you misplaced your keys? Now there is a solution for that.

The savior is an app just for finding your keys. When you get this app a tiny key chain will be sent to you with a setting book where you will put on your car keys chain. When you lose your car/house/office key and have no clue where they are, go to this app.

In this app a map will appear and the device will beep and light until you go out of the app. This way you will never have to be late for a meeting again because you lost your keys.

This app will not have to have Internet connections just make sure your Bluetooth is on. This app will cost something between 5$ to 10$ depends on the cost of the device that will help you find it.

EOC week 2: Boston Consulting Group - Video Games

The gaming industry changed a lot during the years. The reasons for this are that people changed during the years and the average age of people that play video games changed as well. “Today the average gamer is 37, according to the Entertainment Software Association. “The average age of the most frequent game buyer is 41 -- nearing Just for Men-type levels. They're raising kids, in the middle of a career and worried about retirement.” (http://articles.cnn.com) This is part of the reasons research shows that only around 20% of gamers finish their games. The average people today that play video games have life and other things to deal with on an everyday life than just play video games and finish them. Another fact is that “game makers are producing more high-quality entertainment for a broader variety of players than they ever have in the past.” (http://www.nytimes.com) That brings a wider crowed and this way the average person might not have time, will or need to finish every game since the end will always be discovered by a younger player. “when the other areas of a child's life begin to suffer, parents may have cause to take corrective action. Kimberly Young, director of the Center for Internet Addiction Recovery in Bradford, Pa., points to several common warning signs of pathological behavior: fantasizing or talking about game characters or missions when offline; lying about or hiding how much time is spent playing or disobeying parental limits.” (http://health.usnews.com). This shows that most of the reasons that children don’t finish their video games are because of parental prevention of them to do so. This reasons show that the fact that a lot of gamers even if they have the will to finish a video game don’t necessarily have the ability to do so.

Week 1 EOC: Great Customer Service

Good costumer experience is very important for a company’s reputation. One of the good costumer experiences I had was at American apparel where I accidently purchased a piece of clothing that was damaged they took the piece of clothing right away apologized and gave me y money back. With a lot of company’s one of the main things they want to do well is costumer service to make sure that people will return in the future. “Free delivery, free returns, and a 365-day return policy have been the cornerstone of Zappos’ customer-centric approach. It even quietly upgrades the experience, from four-to-five-day shipping to second-day or next-day shipping, to wow customers.” ** Companies such as zappos are a good example for that since people keep returning to them and buy their product because they are happy with the costumer service. Other companies that are not necessarily giving such good costumer service such as car dealerships since they know people won’t return for a long time. For example the VW dealership sent me an email that they will pay me a certain price for my car if I’ll exchanged it to a newer version of that car in their dealership but went I arrived to the location they offered me less for my car and the suggestion was even offensive. That is an example of a company that loses clients because of bad costumer service.

Hey my name is rom and I study fashion at the art institute of Las Vegas.

Fashion was always something that interested me. Before and now while I’m in school I helped friends and family to improve their style and the way they present themselves through clothing. First impressions are very important and what you wear has a lot to do with it. People will judge you about what you wear and how you look. Fashion to me is a big part of first impression, what you wear tells a lot about who you are. Fashion is away to express yourself and show who you are without using words. Fashion to me is a way of life and a way to express myself and the way I feel everyday. The color of the cloths, the cut and the fabric says a lot about how you see yourself and how you want your future to look like. When you look professional you feel professional you act like professional and people will take you more seriously than if you dress sloppy, feel sloppy and act sloppy. What you wear can affect how you act how seriously you take yourself, your ideas and society. The thing that motivated me the most to go study fashion was to influence others with my cloths and accessories and help make a change in peoples life for the better and achieve higher goals.
